Chairman and CEO
Widely recognized as a visionary in the application of innovative technology to the complex and rapidly changing healthcare industry, Jeff Margolis founded The TriZetto Group, Inc. in 1997. He has more than 30 years of experience architecting and managing information technology and services for some of the nation's largest and most innovative healthcare organizations. He is the former senior vice president and chief information officer of FHP International Corp., a $4 billion healthcare company that operated health plans, multi-specialty physician clinics and hospitals, serving more than 2 million members and patients. Margolis was named an "up and comer" by Modern Healthcare magazine and is the former chairman of the Managed Care Executive Group. In 2002, he was named Ernst & Young's Technology Entrepreneur of the Year for Orange County, California. A certified public accountant, Margolis holds certificates in Colorado and Illinois.
Jeff received his bachelor's degree with high honors in business administration/ management information systems from the University of Illinois.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Brian brings more than 17 years of industry knowledge from Premera Blue Cross, a leading health plan in the Pacific Northwest, where he most recently served as executive vice president of health care services and strategic development. His leadership and strategic execution was instrumental in establishing Premera as one of the most successful and innovative health plans in the country. Among his many responsibilities, Ancell led the IT division’s integration and platform consolidation efforts, and oversaw the execution and launch of several mobile and web-based consumer engagement solutions. Brian also has extensive experience in developing innovative and transformational strategies for the healthcare industry, serving individuals, small groups and national employers. Prior to Premera, Brian served as a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting and as a Senior Associate in the PricewaterhouseCoopers audit and tax practice.
Brian earned a bachelor of business administration degree in Accounting from Boise State University and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer
Building on 20 years of healthcare experience, organizationally, Scott is responsible for directing business development efforts through management of the sales, marketing and client solutions teams that interact with national and regional health plans, as well as other sales channels.
Prior to co-founding Welltok, Scott was a co-owner and National Sales Director for PSI, a healthcare services company acquired by Metavante Corporation in 2003. During his tenure, annual revenue grew from $1 million to $30 million. Following the acquisition, Scott served as Vice President of Sales for the Metavante Healthcare Solutions Group. Scott holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business & Economics.
Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer
Michelle Snyder is recognized as a marketing and strategy leader in the digital health space. She now leads all corporate and product marketing, marketing communications and public relations activities.
Michelle was most recently an Executive-in-Residence at InterWest Partners, investing in digital health companies and serving as an advisor to InterWest portfolio companies. Prior to InterWest, Michelle was one of the early executives at Epocrates and worked for over a decade to build the company into one of the leading mobile healthcare technology companies and the most recognized technology brand among clinicians. Prior to Epocrates, Michelle worked as a health strategy consultant with The Wilkerson Group and in health policy formation and implementation with the Lewin Group and the Georgetown Center for Health Policy Studies.
Michelle earned her M.B.A. at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and her B.A. from Carleton College.
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Linda brings a wealth of financial experience to Welltok. She most recently served as a principal with SpringBoard Strategic Advisors, leading the healthcare consulting practice. She spent more than a decade in senior management positions at TriZetto Corp., including chief risk and compliance officer and interim CFO during a successful take-private transaction in 2008. Prior to TriZetto, Linda held executive positions at Interliance, a boutique consulting firm specializing in platform enablement, CalFed Bank and South Coast Home Healthcare, where she worked closely with government-sponsored healthcare plans.
Linda holds a bachelor's of science degree in business and management and an M.B.A from the University of the Redlands, and a master's of healthcare administration from the University of LaVerne.
Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer
Healthcare technology veteran James J. Sullivan joined Welltok, Inc. in June 2013 as Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary. Prior to Welltok, Jim was Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Quality Systems, Inc., a healthcare technology company offering electronic health records, financial software and services to physician groups and community hospitals. Before joining Quality Systems, he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of The TriZetto Group, Inc., a healthcare technology company offering enterprise systems and services to payers. Other positions include his role as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Long Beach Financial Corporation, a national mortgage lender. Earlier in his career, he was a corporate and securities associate with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and an accountant with Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young).
Jim holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. He became licensed in California as a certified public accountant in 1982.
Senior Vice President of Corporate Development
Maneesh Goyal joined Welltok in early 2013 as Vice President of Corporate Development. His responsibilities include all partnership, alliances and M&A activity related to building out the company’s CaféWell Connect ecosystem. Prior to Welltok, Maneesh was a Managing Director with Miramar Venture Partners, a leading early stage investor focusing on the information technology space. With Miramar, Maneesh invested in health and consumer Internet companies and provided strategic guidance for companies moving from startup to growth stage. Before entering the venture world, Maneesh was a design engineer with Broadcom, leading product development and engineering efforts in the television, cable and satellite communication markets.
Maneesh earned a bachelor’s of science degree in biomedical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a master’s of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
Senior Vice President of Sales
Recognized as a leading sales executive in the health care technology industry, Matt joined Welltok as Senior Vice President of Sales in 2013. Matt is accountable for directing sales and strategy across the spectrum of population health managers that Welltok serves, including health plans, hospitals, integrated delivery systems, and accountable care organizations.
Most recently, Matt was Chief Growth Officer at Matrix Medical Network, a provider of prospective medical assessment and transition of care services. Previously, Matt was Senior Vice President of Sales at TriZetto, leading a team responsible for over $150M in annual bookings of enterprise-class software and services. Matt led sales and marketing efforts at QCSI, from company inception to its acquisition by TriZetto in 2007.
Matt earned a bachelor’s degree and M.B.A from the University of Arizona.
